Resident Invited to Present on Pediatric Surgery Job Market
By Department of Surgery | Sep 26, 2022
Marla Sacks, MD, third-year general surgery resident, was invited to this year’s American Academy of Pediatrics conference to present on the current job market from the perspective of recent fellowship graduates. Dr. Sacks will be sharing these perspectives in the form of a full oral presentation at the Surgery Section.
The American Academy of Pediatrics is the largest pediatric publishing program in the world. In addition to developing practice-defining guidelines, the AAP publishes statements on advocacy issues and policies – including asthma care, car safety seats, and most recently COVID schooling in person.
Dr. Sacks will also present at the Pacific Association of Pediatric Surgeons (PAPS) conference on the development of an automatic feeding device to support experiments on necrotizing enterocolitis models.
