iNSPIRe Investigator Publishes in JAMA Cardiology

A multi-disciplinary, multi-institutional collaboration has led to the the publication of a high-impact study using US Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) data.
The large sample observational study was titled “Initial Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair vs. Medical Therapy for Acute Uncomplicated Type B Dissection” and examined whether initial TEVAR following uncomplicated type B aortic dissection is associated with reduced mortality or morbidity compared with medical therapy alone.
The manuscript was published in JAMA Cardiology and included co-author, Panos Kougias, MD, MSc, and collaborators from the Duke University School of Medicine, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, University of Washington, and Imperial College London.
