Residents Elected to Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society

Drs. Christopher Demaree, Amy Jeng, Emily Rinebold and Leon Siegel from the Department of Surgery were nominated for house-staff membership in the Eta Chapter of the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Medical Honor Society at SUNY Downstate College of Medicine. The mission of the society has been to recognize and perpetuate excellence in the Medical profession.

Since its inception in 1902, membership in AOA has represented superior scholastic achievement, integrity of the highest caliber and respect within the medical community.  Selection in this medical society is a testimony to the recipients’ diligence and recognition of their high attainment in medical science and teaching. The Department of Surgery is incredibly proud of this designation for our residents. Please join us in congratulating them on this outstanding achievement.
