Academic Affairs is responsible for the oversight of academic programs in all the schools that make up SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University

 

Welcome

The Office of Academic Affairs is led by Dr. Pascal James Imperato, Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Chief Academic Officer.

Dr. Imperato is responsible for oversight of all academic programs and the organization and coordination of central academic functions in the schools and colleges that make up SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University.  These functions include Academic Program Planning; Evaluation, Outcomes Assessment and Accreditation Services; Continuing Medical Education; the Medical Research Library of Brooklyn, the Division of Student Affairs, and the Office of Academic Services.  The Office of Academic Affairs also coordinates nominations for the SUNY Chancellor’s Awards and Honorary Degrees.
