Department of Surgery Research Fellow, Public Health, and Medical Students Present at SUNY DSHU Research Slam

Research fellow with the Department of Surgery - Jodi-Ann Edwards, MD; Moyouri Bhattacharjee, BS – second year MPH student at the School of Public Health; Grace Shadid, BA, MS – third year medical student; and Tobi Somorin, BS – third year medical student shared their research and program work in a 3MT format
at the SUNY DSHU’s inaugural and annual research slam.
The event was hosted as part of the Office of Senior Vice President for Research’s first Fall Research Symposium. Rules of the event required presentations to include one static-slide, minimal text, and no prompt talks without minimal scientific or clinical jargon. Dr. Jodi-Ann Edwards and Tobi Somorin received second place and honorable mention, respectively for their talks.
