The SUNY Downstate Department of Surgery would like to congratulate Dr. Lauren Thau on a well-earned recognition as the Kings County Department of General Surgery Resident of the Year! The recognition is awarded to a resident who demonstrates outstanding dedication, service, and professional excellence. Dr. Thau’s excellence and contributions were acknowledged on Doctor’s Day, March 27, 2025. An outstanding accomplishment for a PGY-2 trainee, the Department of Surgery is so proud of Dr. Thau and looking forward to the bright future she has ahead!
