Students Selected as Member for a Day at the AATS Meeting

The SUNY Downstate Department of Surgery is proud to announce that two Downstate medical students, Jessica Yavner and Steven Medvedovsky, Class of 2026, have been selected to participate in the American Association for Thoracic Surgery (AATS) Member for a Day Program at the 105th Annual Meeting in Seattle, Washington.
“I am honored to be selected as an AATS Member for a Day at the 2025 American Association for Thoracic Surgery Annual Meeting. This opportunity will allow me to engage with world-renowned leaders in cardiothoracic surgery, attend cutting-edge research presentations, and gain insights into the latest advances in the field. As a medical student passionate about thoracic surgery and surgical innovation, attending this conference is an inspiring step toward my future career.
