Dr. Lance Jung Earns MBA in Operations Management from Eastern University

The Department of Surgery congratulates Dr. Lance Jung on his recently earned MBA in Operations Management from Eastern University in Pennsylvania. This professional milestone underscores his dedication to lifelong learning and leadership in healthcare. 

Balancing the rigorous demands of graduate-level business studies alongside a full clinical schedule posed no small challenge. Yet, through determination and discipline, Dr. Jung successfully completed the program—an accomplishment he attributes in part to a lesson instilled early in life. 

“My mother used to say, ‘Your eyes are lazy, but your hands are diligent,’” Dr. Jung shared. “While something is lost in translation, it basically means that when we look at certain things they may seem like impossible tasks, but once you set your mind to it and just do it, it’s not so bad—you can do it.” 

Dr. Jung plans to apply the strategic, operational, and leadership skills gained through his studies to enhance clinical practice, optimize systems, and further support the development of trainees both within and beyond the operating room. 

His achievement stands as a powerful testament to the value of lifelong learning and a steadfast dedication to advancing the lives of patients and the growth of future surgical trainees.
