Celebrating National Nurses Month
By Office of the President | May 4, 2022
As we begin this celebratory time of National Nurses Month, we are proud to highlight the numerous roles and positive impacts that nurses have on the lives of patients and their families.
The phenomenal nurses of University Hospital at Downstate (Downstate) continue to make a difference as trusted advocates ensuring that the individuals, families, and underserved populations in our communities receive quality patient care and services. They influence and shape health policy decisions assuring that anyone in need of healthcare has access to the best care possible at Downstate.
In recognition of your immense commitment and significant contributions, we also tip our caps to the phenomenal nursing students in Downstate’s College of Nursing. As you prepare to join the ranks of premier healthcare professionals, you will serve as a bridge to compassionate care as essential partners in the patient experience.
I wish to express my gratitude and say thank you all for your dedication to excellence in patient care as we embark on a brighter future.
