Christian Fellowship at Downstate

The Christian Fellowship at Downstate is an inter-denominational group of students, faculty, and staff from the Downstate community who meet weekly to find the answers to challenging questions by studying the Bible, praying, and sharing experiences with one another. Our purpose is to deepen our love for God and for one another, to share the Good News of saving the love of Jesus Christ through various events and personal witness, as well as to tend to our patient's spiritual needs while caring for them physically.

The DCF is open to all SUNY Downstate students.

As part of our ministry, we meet in fellowship with Christians from other New York City medical schools, invite Christian speakers, and reach out to the community through events such as the Christmas gift distribution at the Kings County pediatric ward. Through the DCF, our hope is to understand our God’s plan concerning our roles as health care providers.
