Downstate Black Students of Excellence

The mission of the Downstate Black Students of Excellence is to cultivate an inclusive network that fosters academic and professional excellence through leadership development, service, and networking. This organization establishes an environment where students will support and empower one another through their unique educational and professional journeys while creating social and cultural awareness specific to the black experience. Using our collective voice, we will advocate for issues that impact the success and advancement of the black student population at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University. By investing in our community through service and mentorship, we aim to pave the way for the next generation of healthcare professionals.
