Wellness Committee Field Day: Play, Recharge, Connect

The SUNY Downstate Department of Surgery Wellness Committee hosted a successful Field Day on April 23, 2026, at the Downstate Student Center. The event brought together residents and faculty for a morning focused on wellness, camaraderie, and friendly competition. 

 

 

 

Participants enjoyed a variety of activities, including basketball, Giant Jenga, cornhole, badminton, dodgeball, volleyball, pool, and more. Breakfast was served, providing an opportunity for attendees to connect outside of the clinical setting and start the day together in a fun and relaxed environment.  

 

Events like Field Day reflect the department’s continued commitment to resident wellness, teamwork, and community-building. Thank you to the Wellness Committee for organizing this event and to everyone who participated.
