SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University Offering Free Prostate Screenings Sep. 21 – Sep. 25 to Men Forty Years of Age and Over

Brooklyn, NY - Prostate cancer is one of the most treatable forms of cancer if discovered early. SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and its University Hospital at Downstate are offering free prostate cancer screenings to men 40 years of age and older the week of Sep. 21.
Screenings will held at University Hospital at Downstate, 470 Clarkson Avenue, Suite I (“eye”), Monday, Sep. 21 through Thursday, Sep. 24, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
Screenings will also be available on Monday only at SUNY Downstate’s Family Health Services, 840 Lefferts Avenue, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
SUNY Downstate’s Throop Center for Health Care Services also will be offering free prostate screenings Monday through Friday, Sep. 21 to Sep. 25, at 613 Throop Avenue, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
