SPECIAL NOTE REGARDING TITLE IX RELATED POLICIES
SUNY Downstate is in full compliance with current regulations related to Title IX. The version of the polcy in effect are in bold, below. The printed version of the Student Handbook contains the regulations in effect at the time of publication. The United States Department of Education had issued new regulations which became effective on August 1, 2024, however, these rules were vacated on January 9, 2025 by a Federal Court. Therefore, the prior rules remain in effect. If you have questions, contact the Office of Diversity and Inclusion or Student Affairs for appropriate guidance.
