Dr. Robert Rhee

The SUNY Downstate Department of Surgery was pleased to host a Grand Rounds session with Robert Rhee MD, Chief of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery and Vascular Integrated Residency & Fellowship at Maimonides Medical Center and Program Director.

Dr. Rhee is also a Clinical Professor of Surgery for SUNY Downstate medical students rotating at Maimonides.  He has extensive experience in both surgical and endovascular management of complex abdominal, thoracic and thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysms and dissections. 

Dr. Rhee’s presentation entitled “Medical Device Development, the Road to Clinical Trial, FDA Approval Process and the Aftermath”.  Dr. Rhee spent some time after Grand Rounds with our Chiefs speaking on his extensive experience in developing devices with maximum impact on patient lives.
