Musculoskeletal Imaging

Kollaknee

The musculoskeletal radiology division performs the full range of musculoskeletal imaging examinations using a variety of modalities, including general radiography, CT, MRI, and Ultrasound.

We work closely with other specialists, including orthopedic surgeons, rheumatologists, oncologists, neurologists and emergency medicine physicians, in order to provide a
coordinated, multidisciplinary approach to the evaluation and treatment of patients.

Our special interests include sports-related injuries, degenerative spine disease, infection and tumors of the bones and muscles. The division also performs myelography, joint injections, arthrograms, bone and soft tissue biopsies, and peripheral nerve imaging.

The division covers both University Hospital of Brooklyn and Kings County Hospital Center. Our state-of-the-art equipment includes three 1.5 Tesla MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) machines, five multi-slice CT (computed tomography) machines, digital fluoroscopy units and ultrasonography scanners.
