Neuroradiology

Neuroradiology performs a full range of diagnostic procedures including Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), plain films. The department is equipped with multiple CT and MRI scanners including a Siemens 1.5 T Symphony and a recently installed Marconi Eclipse 1.5 T MR scanner. Interventional procedures available include myelography, diagnostic angiography and interventional angiography procedures.

The department has three full time neuroradiologists with certificate of added qualification in neuroradiology.

The neuroradiology section is a highly active clinical section working closely with the clinical services of Neurology, Neurosurgery, ENT, Radiation oncology and Neuropathology. The section is also actively engaged in teaching of residents and medical students. Inter-disciplinary conferences are held with Neurology and Neurosurgery on a biweekly basis.The faculty has varied interests including Functional MRI, Spectroscopy, Head and Neck imaging and Neurovascular interventional procedures.
