Membership
Employees of SUNY Downstate Eligibility
- Applicants must be current, full-time employees or alumni of SUNY Downstate.
- Applicants must present a valid ID to obtain membership. Valid IDs are limited to
the following:
- SUNY Faculty/Staff — Standard SUNY Downstate Photo ID
- SUNY Downstate Alumni — Alumni Photo ID

Spouse and Junior Members
Junior members are required to bring a copy of their birth certificate and one small photo. Students and their families (spouse and/or children) are free, payment is covered in the activities fee, which is paid along with tuition. Students are required to fill out an application to receive a membership card for eligible spouse and children. Junior members cannot bring guests or younger siblings into the Student Center at any time. Junior members will no longer be eligible to access the facility on their 18th birthday.
To sign up a spouse for membership you must bring one of the following forms, marriage certificate, domestic partnership certificate or tax form indicating partner claim each other as dependents for income tax purposes.
