Work Study Positions
Important Information for Potential Work Study Student Employees
You can verify you have been awarded Work Study in your financial aid package by loggng into your Banner Self Service account then select "Financial Aid" then "Awards."
If you have not been awarded Work Study in your financial aid package, you will not have access to apply for a job. You can email workstudy@downstate.edu to be reviewed for eligibility. Also, Federal Work Study will not be awarded for the sole purpose of helping students become eligible for additional government benefits such as Food Stamps.
A Work Study award is not a guarantee of a job. Positions are limited. Students are limited to only one work study position. Work Study allows a student the potential to earn a specified sum of money by turning in biweekly time sheets for the hours that you have worked.
