General Information
TeddiMatts provides coin operated laundry rooms in the basements of the three residence halls under a contract with FSA in conjunction with Residential Life and Services at:
- 440 Lenox Rd.
- 811 New York Ave.
- 825 New York Ave.
Change machines are available at each location for your convenience.
Reporting a Problem
Please report problems so that service repair can be initiated as timely as possible.
To report any problem or request a refund with any of the campus laundry machines, call TeddiMatts Customer Service at (914) 773-0194.
If TeddiMatts is not responsive, you need to report a chronic problem, or wish to provide any suggestions, please call the FSA Hotline at Extension 2900 (718-270-2900). You can also email us the location and machine number, briefly explaining the problem. Refunds can also be claimed at the FSA Business Office, Room 2-09 in the Student Center at 450 Clarkson Avenue.

LaundryView makes your life simpler. No more wasted trips to the basement only to find no machines available, and receive an alert when your machine is finished!
LaundryView provided by TeddiMatts makes it possible to view all laundry room and machine activity via the web. You can monitor machine usage before you schedule that trip to the laundry room. Sign up for laundryView alerts and receive notifications when your wash is completed on your cell phone, pda or via email. Visit laundryview.com, select a room, click on the “Need a Machine?” tab, then follow the simple sign-up instructions.
FSA's Green Initiatives in Laundry
All washing machines have water-saving and high energy efficiency ratings. Approximately 85–90% of the energy used by a washing machine is consumed through heating the water. Unless you are washing particularly greasy and filthy clothes, hot water is not needed; cold water works just fine.
Faster drying times: Because of the horizontal axis and faster spin speeds, more water is removed and your clothes will dry faster, acheiving more energy efficiency.
