SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University celebrated Certified Nurses Day March 19 by honoring its board-certified nurses with a morning program. Certified nurses from SUNY Downstate’s University Hospital at Downstate and the College of Nursing attended the event.
Board certification of nurses plays an increasingly important role in the assurance of high standards of care for patients. SUNY Downstate encourages national board certification for all its nurses.
