Oracle + Downstate: A New Era of Efficiency and Innovation

Downstate is preparing to launch Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Solutions, a new cloud-based system that will simplify processes across the campus. Oracle ERP is not just a transition from one system to another, these tools are about transformation. We understand that change can feel challenging at first, but Oracle ERP’s solutions represents an exciting opportunity to modernize and simplify how we work at Downstate. Oracle ERP will create a centralized system, helping departments work more efficiently and reducing duplication across the organization.
What Oracle ERP Will Improve
The new system will provide:
- Faster and more efficient workflows
- Less paperwork and fewer manual processes
- More accurate and consistent employee data
- Easier self-service tools for employees
- Simpler tools for managers to oversee performance, leave, and team information
- Reduced reliance on paper forms
Oracle’s AI-powered technology will help employees and managers spend less time on administrative tasks and more time focused on collaboration, leadership, and service.
Oracle’s Transformation Tools
Human Resources: Oracle Human Cloud Manager (HCM), Oracle Recruiting Cloud (ORC), and Goals and Performance will digitize and streamline the full employee lifecycle. HCM will be the first module to launch – stay tuned for additional details coming soon.
Procurement: Oracle Supply Chain Management will bring end-to-end digital procurement, sourcing, and contract management capabilities into Oracle Cloud. This transition will replace paper-based and offline processes with streamlined system-based workflows, improving visibility, transparency, tracking, and standardization across the organization.
Supply Chain: Enhanced Supply Chain Management capabilities by improving inventory visibility, transaction accuracy, and real-time reporting across procurement, planning, inventory, and fulfillment operations. Streamlined purchasing and supplier management through standardized workflows and improved visibility into requisitions, purchase orders, receiving, transfers, and fulfillment activities.
Finance: Our Oracle Fusion Enterprise Resource Planning for Finance offers a new era of efficiency and innovation. This tool is supported by a unified Chart of Accounts that enables integrated and automated financial transactions, reporting, and workflows. The system will strengthen end-to-end financial processes, provide more predictable support, and promote knowledge sharing across all financial modules to ensure consistent issue resolution and operational efficiency.
What Employees Should Know
While Oracle will modernize and accelerate many administrative processes, employees should know that their day-to-day work responsibilities are not changing.
The first module to launch will be Oracle HCM, which will be coming July 20, 2026!
