About
The Center for Photomedicine located at SUNY Downstate serves to investigate light and light-based therapies to advance treatment of various medical conditions.
Clinical Impact
The work we have done at the basic science, translational and clinical levels have significant impact on clinical outcomes.
We work closely with industry to help design and provide feedback for devices about to be released and for those that are currently in use. We have developed new technologies and treatment regimens for available dermatologic products.
