The Department of Dermatology at the State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate Medical Center provides a broad range of dermatologic services to Brooklyn's diverse patient population. The Department consists of clinical facilities, including ambulatory outpatient and consultative inpatient services, at Kings County Hospital and University Hospital. The academic and clinical faculty of the Department is committed to medical education through the dermatology residency training program, fellowship training programs, electives available to medical students and rotating medical residents, and both basic science and clinical research. The Department, throughout its rich history, has always emphasized excellence in the delivery of quality, innovative, and compassionate dermatologic care both within the clinic and the inside the classroom.
The Dermatology Department at Downstate is located on the 8th floor of the Basic Science Building.
The Adult Dermatology Clinic at Downstate is on the main floor of the hospital. The clinic is located in Suite C on Monday mornings and Suite I on Tuesday afternoons.
The Dermatology Clinics at Kings County are located in the E Building. The Adult Dermatology clinic is located on the Ground floor in Suite D, on Monday afternoons, Tuesday mornings, Thursday afternoons, and Friday mornings. The Pediatric Dermatology clinic is located on the 5th floor in Suite D, on Monday and Thursday mornings.
