The information needs of the Medical Library are increasingly more complex and expensive. As technology has changed so has the way information is accessed and preserved, and costs have increased accordingly while at the same time budgets are being cut across the board. Thanks to the Giving Tree for the Medical Research Library of Brooklyn, we are growing a fund to meet the information needs of SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and the Medical Research Library for today and tomorrow.

- Bronze Leaf $100 - $999
- Silver Leaf $1,000 - $4,999
- Gold Leaf $5,000 - $9,999
- Acorn $10,000 - $14,999
- Branch $15,000 - $19,999
- Small Paving Stone $20,000 - $29,999
- Medium Paving Stone $30,000 - $49,000
- Large Paving Stone $50,000 - $75,000
With your gift of $100 or more your gift will be inscribed on our living wall of memories that is the Library Giving Tree. Giving levels for inscriptions range from $100 to $75,000 and up (gifts of all sizes are gratefully appreciated). Leaves, acorns, branches and stones may be inscribed in honor or memory of a:
- Parent
- Spouse
- Child
- Friend
- Organization
- Anniversary
- Graduation
- Yourself
- Someone/something else
- Or no leaf/stone, if preferred
Online donors may write your preferred inscription in the "Gift Note" area under the fund drop down menu. Mail-in donors may enclose a note with your check indicating your preferred inscription. All donors are requested to leave a contact phone number/email in case there are any questions about the inscription.
