Wellness Reminder

July is the perfect time to focus on balance, energy, and overall well-being. As summer is in full swing, the longer days provide a wonderful opportunity to embrace healthy habits that support both your physical and emotional wellness. Whether it's spending time outdoors, staying hydrated, practicing gratitude, connecting with loved ones, or making time for movement, small daily choices can have a lasting impact on your health. The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) also invites you to join our 6-week Summer Reset Challenge, beginning Monday, July 6, featuring Low-Impact Cardio at 12:00 p.m. and Zumba at 1:00 p.m. every Monday in PHAB Hall, Classroom 2C. No matter your fitness level, everyone is welcome to participate.  Take this opportunity to invest in yourself because a healthier, happier you begins with caring for your mind, body, and spirit.  See you there.

Please join the upcoming webinars "Self-Care Stacking: Small Habits that Change Everything" on Wednesday, July 15th, 2026 at Noon and "Traveling with the Empire Plan", Wednesday. July 29, 2026 at Noon.  The 30-minute webinars will discuss positive communication strategies that help kids open up and reduce family conflict.   Learn strategies and practical ways to develop stronger family connections through communication.

Get Moving This Summer! Join the Fridays Physical Activity Team Challenge and make physical activity part of your weekly routine. From June 26th through August 28th , employees can form a two-person team with a fellow New York State employee or an eligible family member and track their physical activity minutes and/or steps every Friday.  It's a fun way to stay active, support one another, and compete for a chance to be recognized as one of the top-performing teams.  Small, consistent efforts can have a big impact on your physical and mental well-being.
