Types of Assistance
SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is committed to helping students meet their educational expenses. Financial Aid is granted on the basis of need, merit or a combination of both. Our funding is primarily from federal and state resources which include grants, scholarships, loans, and/or college work-study.

Work Study
The Federal Work-Study program is a form of financial assistance provided to students through part-time employment.
