Armed Forces Health Professions Scholarships

 

US citizen. Apply to either Air Force, Navy or Army.

BeMo Diversity Advocacy Scholarship

 

Available to students applying to residency.

Buckfire & Buckfire Law Firm Medical Scholarship

 

The scholarship, established in 2014, is part of the law firm’s initiative to recognize medical school students who do outstanding work to promote diversity of all kinds in their community.

Joseph Collins Scholarship

(External Award - There is no link, as student must be nominated by their medical school.)

 

Student must be nominated by the Dean or Dean’s designate. Demonstrate interest in arts and letter or other cultural pursuits outside of medicine, scholastic record must stand in the upper half of the class and intends to specialize in neurology, psychiatry or becoming a general practitioner. Award: $10,000.

Kaiser Permanente Scholarship Program

 

Be a current third-year medical student interested in seeking a residency in Kaiser Permanente Northern California.

National Health Service Corps

 

Must agree to practice primary care in high need area for 1 year for each year of support.

Pisacano Scholars Leadership Program

 

4th year student, commitment to Family Practice, shows leadership skills, academic performance.

The New York Academy of Medicine

 

The New York Academy of Medicine offers several research grants for medical students.

Tylenol Scholarship Fund

 

Demonstrate leadership in community services and school activities.

US Army

 

U.S. citizen, be enrolled or have letter of acceptance or intent from accredited graduate program in US, be full-time.

 

Scholarships for Medical Students based on Residency Status

Charles River District Medical Society Scholarship Program

 

Legal resident of one of the five towns comprising the district: Needham, Newton, Waltham, Wellesley, and Weston; sophomore or junior, and in financial need.

Dr. James L. Hutchinson and Evelyn Ribbs Hutchinson Scholarship

 

Graduate of a high school in San Mateo County or Santa Clara County or have permanently resided in that area during high school.

Essex South District Medical Society

 

To assist in funding the medical education of a student from an Essex South city or town.

Frank & Louise Groff Foundation

 

Graduated from public high school in Monmouth County, NJ. Financial need, academic accomplishment.

Hellenic Medical Society of New York

 

Medical student of Hellenic heritage, originating from New York, Connecticut, New Jersey or Pennsylvania, completed 1st year, financial need

Howard G. Lapsley Memorial Scholarship Fund

 

Open to medical school students from select areas of New Jersey. See website for details.

Mark B. Holzman Scholarship

 

US citizen, Delaware residents enrolled full-time in graduate level medicine at US academic institutions

Myrtle Siegfried, MD and Michael Vigilante, MD Scholarship

 

Applicant must be a resident of Lehigh, Berks, or Northampton County in the state of Pennsylvania for at least 12 months prior to registering as a medical student.

Orazio DiMauro Foundation

 

Resident of Bridgeport, CT and surrounding towns.

Wellsford & Mildred Clark Medical Memoria

 

Resident of Connecticut. Award up to $50,000 (over 4 years).
