Welcome to the Anesthesiology Residency Program

Four more years!

When selecting a site for residency training, a number of factors are very important including among others:

• reputation of the program
• location – does it support things you like to do?
• faculty reputation
• residents already in the program
• diversity of faculty, residents, and patients
• types of education available (didactic, simulation, OSCE, board review, oral board practice)
• board pass rate

This film clip will give you a taste of what a residency at SUNY Downstate would have to offer you. Even though I am a new program director at SUNY Downstate, I am already very proud of this program, its residents, and its faculty.  I hope this film will give you the feeling that our residents share that opinion.
