David Benaroch

Dr. Benaroch completed his undergraduate degree in Biology at Binghamton University in Binghamton, NY. Following this, he enrolled in the Sackler School of Medicine in Israel and will receive his Doctor Medicine Degree this May. He is a member of the Gold Humanism Society. He is the co-founder and head of the KOManage, LLC, a student housing company which he has managed throughout medical school. He built investment portfolios and dispatched property managers for repairs.  

Stephanie Cardona

Dr. Cardona completed her undergraduate degree in Biology and English at Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, NY. She then enrolled in SUNY Downstate and received her Doctor of Medicine Degree in 2023. Currently she is completing a preliminary medicine internship at NYU Grossman Long Island College of Medicine and will join us in our Categorical program this July. She was the Chapter Founder and Secretary of Building the Next Generation of Academic Physicians at Downstate. She has multiple publications and hobbies including pet fostering (dogs), yoga, traveling, and literature. 

Rachel Gabriel

Daniel Glotser

Dr. Glotser completed his undergraduate degree in cellular and molecular neuroscience at Fordham University in NY. Following this, he enrolled in the Tuoro College of Osteopathic Medicine in New York and will receive his Doctor of Osteopathy this May. He loves to play video games with the same group of friends, enjoys going to local music venues and shows, and really enjoys horror movies. He claims to have seen virtually every horror movie that has a good rating. He also is a beginning horseback rider.

Sharon Guzman

Dr. Guzman completed her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. She then enrolled at SUNY Downstate and received her Doctor of Medicine in 2023. She is currently completing a preliminary medicine internship at NYU Langone Hospital – Long Island Internal Medicine Program. She will join our categorical program this July. She devoted much of her time in medical school in service to her fellow students with tutoring, mentoring (Operation Success), the Latino Medical Student Association and the Office of Academic Support and Advisement. She also worked with a high school early exposure program to recruit future physicians.

Dilruba Khatoon

Dr. Khatoon completed her undergraduate degree in Chemistry at CUNY Hunter College in New York, NY. She then enrolled at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University School of Medicine and will receive her medical degree this May. She is a skilled seamstress and is active in serving the community and the medical school with her important role in the Downstate Muslim Students Association. She speaks 4 languages including Bengali, Hindu, Urdu, and English. She will join our categorical program this July.

Samuel Kim

Dr. Kim completed his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY. He then enrolled in SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University College of Medicine and will receive his Doctor of Medicine Degree this May. He is a fully trained EMT. He also is the Team Leader for SUNY Esports Tournaments, serving as tactical strategist and decision-maker for his team. He is actively involved in the Korean Student Association.

Diarra Ndiaye

Dr. Ndiaye completed her undergraduate degree in Neuroscience at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. She then enrolled in SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University College of Medicine and will receive her Doctor of Medicine Degree this May. She is member of both the Gold Humanism Society and Alpha Omega Alpha. She has served as the public relations chair and historian for the Student National Medical Association – Downstate Chapter. She has multiple publications and helps underrepresented premedical students with the application process to medical school. She will join our categorical program in July.  

Prit Patel

Dr. Patel completed his undergraduate degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology (Chemistry Minor) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He then enrolled at the Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Illinois and received his Doctor of Osteopathy Degree in June, 2023. He is currently completing a preliminary medicine internship at the Indiana University Southwest Internal Medicine Residency Program and will join our categorical program in July. He is a member of Sigma Pi Sigma and the Gold Humanism Society. He is a private pilot and loves "thrill seeking activities." He also describes himself as a formidable basketball player!

Joshua Rosenberg

Dr. Rosenberg completed his undergraduate degree in Economics at the University of California, Los Angeles. He then completed a Master’s Degree in Urban Bioethics at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine (Temple University) in Philadelphia, PA. Next he enrolled in the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA and received his Doctor of Medicine Degree in 2023. He is now completing a Transitional Year at the St. Lukes Anderson Campus in Easton, PA and will join our categorical program this July. He is a lacrosse player (collegiate and high school) and has an interest in Aerospace Medicine.

Marko Velickovic

The name bearing a strong resemblance to a famous anesthesiologist, Dr. Velickovic completed his undergraduate degree in Natural Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh, in Pittsburgh, PA. Following this, he completed two master’s degrees – Global Medicine at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles and in Medical Sciences at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Florida.  Next, he enrolled in the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and will receive his Doctor of Osteopathy degree this May. He will join our categorical program in July. He has a strong interest in global medicine and has accompanied his father to Serbia on a number of occasions. He speaks 5 languages including Serbian, Croatian, Macedonian, Spanish, and English.

Michael Yudell

Dr. Yudell completed his undergraduate degree in Biology at Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, NY. He then completed a master’s degree in interdisciplinary studies in Biological and Physical Sciences at Tuoro College, in Harlem, NY. Following this, he enrolled in the Tuoro College of Osteopathic Medicine in NY and will receive his Doctor of Osteopathy this May. He has a research background, much of which was completed in Israel. He is an amateur chef and enjoys making braised short ribs, slow cooked brisket, and fettucine alfredo. He is also a Stock Market Analyst and hopefully can give us all some tips!

Sherry Zhang

Dr. Zhang completed her undergraduate degree in Biomolecular Science, Creative Writing, and Literature at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI. Following this, she enrolled in SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University College of Medicine and will receive her Doctor of Medicine Degree in May. She will join our categorical program in July. Dr. Zhang loves to cook as well as to sample various cuisines throughout the New York area. She is an artist and has recently taken up calligraphy. She loves weight lifting, yoga, and home improvement projects.
