The Department of Medicine at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University offers a 1 year fellowship in Geriatric Medicine. The curriculum provides an invaluable educational and clinical experience in acute care of the elderly, longitudinal and long-term care, rehabilitation, ambulatory care, geriatric-psychiatry, home visits, palliative care and consultative services. The Geriatric Medicine Program aims to generate skilled, fellowship trained board certified geriatricians who will be instrumental in effectively and efficiently providing the highest quality of comprehensive, compassionate and accessible care for diverse elderly populations.
