Giving Tree Awards

Your generous donations may be used for the many purposes such as the Academic Excellence Award and the Student/Faculty Research Award as determined by a committee of College of Nursing faculty. The awards and their values are subject to the availability of funds. Donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Purposes

Donations may be used for the following:

• Academic Excellence Award
  This award will be given to a College of Nursing student who demonstrates academic excellence and financial need.
• Professional Development Award
  This award will be given to a College of Nursing student to advance his/her professional development and is intended to prepare the student to be a leader in his/her chosen specialty.
• Student/Faculty Research Award
  This award will be given to College of Nursing student/faculty teams conducting collaborative research activities to stimulate interest in research and expand nursing knowledge.
• Community Activities/Service Award
  This award will be given to a College of Nursing student who demonstrates a dedication to provide culturally competent care to diverse, underserved clients in urban communities.
• Growing the Future of Nursing Award
  To enrich students' experience in the College of Nursing, this award will be reserved for curricular innovations, special lectures, and other initiatives that support the mission and vision of the College of Nursing.
