Transportation and Shuttle Services
5:00 AM until 2:00 PM
Shuttle services to and from campus parking lots and transportation hubs are available by request Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) at these times. For transportation requests, call the University Police Department at extension 2626.
2:00 PM until 12:15 AM
Shuttles depart regularly from the UHD 445 Lenox Road, HSEB 395 Lenox Road, PHAB 450 Clarkson Ave, and Outpatient Services 470 Clarkson Ave continually to each of our campus parking lots and the following transportation hubs in 15-minute intervals.
- Nostrand Avenue & Winthrop Street: 2/5 Trains, B44 Bus
- Church Avenue & Nostrand Avenue: 2/5 Trains, B35 & B44 Bus
- Church Avenue & East 18th Street: B/Q Trains, B35 Bus
- Parkside Avenue & Ocean Avenue: B/Q Trains, B12 & B16 Bus
Transportation to these satellite locations is provided:
- Family Medicine (253 Empire Boulevard)
- The VA Hospital (800 Poly Place)
- Maimonides (4802 10th Avenue)
- Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center (1 Brookdale Plaza)
- Coney Island Hospital (2601 Ocean Parkway)
- Mount Sinai Hospital (3201 Kings Highway)

12:15 AM to 5:00 AM
After-Hours transportation service is available. Call Ext. 2626 (718-270-2626) to request transportation service.
All passengers must present their SUNY Downstate Medical Center Downstate ID when boarding the shuttle.

DAILY HOSPITAL RESIDENT ROTATION SHUTTLE SERVICE
Please see below for all shuttle services for routes and times of operation provided to all SUNY DHSU employees, faculty, residents, and students Monday through Friday (except major holidays). Please note that shuttle departure/arrival times may be delayed due to traffic/weather conditions.
For any questions, please call University Police @ ext. 2626, Transportation @ ext. 4051/4058, or the Transportation Manager at 929-295-2019.
Maimonides Hospital Shuttle ONLY-AM:
Departs at 5:15 am and 6:00 a.m. from 445 and 395 Lenox Rd and drops off/picks up in front of the main hospital entrance at 4802 10th Ave.
Brookdale Hospital Shuttle-AM:
Departs at 6:00 am from 445 and 395 Lenox Rd, going to the hospital entrance at 1 Brookdale Plaza.
Mount Sinai Hospital and South Brooklyn Health (Coney Island Hospital)-AM:
Departs at 6:15 am from 395 Lenox Rd, and drops off at 3201 Kings Highway before its final stop at 2601 Ocean Parkway.
It leaves Coney Island Hospital between 7:30 and 745 am, returning to campus.
Brooklyn VA Hospital and Maimonides Hospital (4 trips daily, round-trip):
Departs at 6:15 am, 12:30 pm, 4:00 pm, & 7:30 pm (subject to change) from 445 and 395 Lenox Rd. Our return shuttles from the VA to SUNY UHB's main campus are usually at 7:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 5:15 p.m., and 8:00 p.m. Please call at least
1 hour before the scheduled time for all Maimonides pick-ups/drop-offs to confirm.
Mount Sinai Hospital-PM (pick-up only):
Departs at 4:15 pm from 3201 Kings Highway, returning to campus.
South Brooklyn Health (Coney Island Hospital)-PM (pick-up only):
Departs between 5:30 & 5:45 pm from 2601 Ocean Parkway to return to campus.
Transportation Hubs & Parking Lot Shuttle-AM:
On-Demand from 5:00 AM to 10:00 AM. To request this service, please call ext. 2626 with all your transportation needs.
Parking Lot Shuttle-PM:
From 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Parking Lot Shuttles depart from 450 and 470 Clarkson Ave every 15 minutes and go to the 600 Albany Ave Parking Lot (the Shuttle will take you to your vehicle).
Transportation Shuttle-PM:
Monday through Friday (except major holidays): From 2:00 pm until 12:15 am, shuttles depart from 445 and 395 Lenox Road every 15 minutes, going to designated parking lots and transportation hubs.
Downstate Family Clinic
This service is specifically for those who need transportation to and from the Family Clinic at the Downstate Family Clinic located at 253 Empire Blvd-AM/PM:
Monday through Friday (except major holidays): Hourly from 7:45 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. It resumes at 3:15 p.m. and continues until 5:30 p.m. On Mondays and Thursdays only, the service extends hourly until 8:00 p.m.
Please present your SUNY DHSU ID card for scanning at all times when boarding the shuttles.
