Competency Education Program (GCEP)

GCEP is a Web-based educational series that complements and reinforces what is taught in the patient setting and residency and fellowship didactic curriculums. The platform is a resource of the American Medical Association.

GCEP gives residents tools to develop their knowledge and skills in the competencies with over 20 on-line learning modules presented by experts.

With 24 hours access, residents can complete the modules and assessments at their own convenience.

Topics presented by experts include Confidentiality, Conflict of Interest, Cultural Competency, End of Life Myths, Difficult Patients, Financing, Fraud and Abuse, Employment Contracts, Gifts from Industry, Thriving through Residency.

Certificates documenting successful completion of each module are provided to add to individual training portfolios.
