When selecting a site for residency training, a number of factors are very important including among others:

• Reputation of the program
• Location – does it support things you like to do?
• Faculty reputation
• Residents already in the program
• Diversity of faculty, residents, and patients
• Types of education available (didactic, simulation, OSCE, board review, oral board practice)
• Board pass rate

This film clip will give you a taste of what a residency at SUNY Downstate would have to offer you. Even though I am a new program director at SUNY Downstate, I am already very proud of this program, its residents, and its faculty. I hope this film will give you the feeling that our residents share that opinion.
