Vision
- Provide support to the Planning & Budget Committee (PBC) by assisting in the development of the Financial Plan and providing leadership in planning for, implementing, and administering the allocation of campus financial resources.
- Maintain close working relationships with SUNY System Administration to coordinate campus budget activities with SUNY and other New York State Systems and processes.
- Provide financial and analytical support to all DHSU in a manner consistent with the campus mission.
- Provide formal and informal training sessions; ensure excellent financial planning, budget management and compliance across all activities
- Responsible for troubleshooting and building the capacities of staff so that they are able to effectively manage all aspects of their work.
- Identify efficiencies and cost savings to ensure the organization derives maximum benefit of all assets and resources for the students and communities it serves.
- Develop, document and implement internal controls and communicate policies to adequately safeguard the assets of DHSU.
- Maintain and develop systems to allow for the production of concise and meaningful reports for each DHSU entity to better meet the needs of management, in support of budget planning, analysis and forecasting.
