SUNY Downstate’s College of Medicine is one of the most diverse medical schools in the country. The College of Medicine ranks in the 97th percentile in terms of African-American graduates. We also rank sixth nationally in the number of African-American faculty members holding a position at a medical school (out of 147 accredited allopathic medical schools).
