Occupational Therapy Hosts White Coat Ceremony and Pi Theta Epsilon Inductions

By Office of The President | Feb 21, 2023

White Coat Ceremony

Congratulations to the students, faculty, and staff in the Occupational Therapy Program on its recent annual White Coat and Honor Society Induction ceremonies on February 13. Faculty, family, and friends gathered in the Alumni Auditorium—and virtually via live stream—to honor the Class of 2023. The celebratory event recognized the hard work of the graduating class and the students’ adaptability and academic excellence toward becoming licensed occupational therapists.

White Coat Ceremony

In donning their white coats and citing the occupational therapy pledge, students accepted the symbolic gesture as an affirmation of their commitment to upholding the professional standards and humanistic beliefs of occupational therapy. Several high-achieving students were inducted into the national occupational therapy honor society, Pi Theta Epsilon, a distinction reserved for students with a GPA ranking in the top third of their class.

Congratulations to the Class of 2023 and the newly-minted Pi Theta Epsilon inductees:

Victoria Cagle, Tsun Yan Chow, Sarah Davis, Esther Friedman, Kristen Hoyt, Victoria Kite, Ling Lee Kong, Shulamis Mammon, Joanna Palm, Leah Rischall, Shira Safia, Jane Sato, Colleen Syms, and Cecilia Tillson.
