UHD Teams Raise Over $30K for Alzheimer’s Walk

More than 100 members of the Downstate teams, including family, friends, and other
supporters, joined together with other participants to take on this worthy cause of
supporting Alzheimer’s and other dementia-related research.
Downstate faculty, staff, and a student-led team participated in the annual Walk to End Alzheimers held in downtown Brooklyn’s Cadman Plaza. Six Downstate teams raised over $30K for research and awareness in the fight against Alzheimer’s and all other dementia.
This year’s teams included the UHD SLT, led by Dr. David Berger; Sarah’s Team, led by Dr. Sarah Marshall; Hospital Operations, led by Dr. Patricia A. Winston; the UHD Nursing Strong Team, led by Cheryl Rolston, the Center of Excellence for Alzheimer’s Disease (CEAD), led by Dr. Michael Reinhardt, and Team Sign-SUNY Downstate led by Riley Morrone, a Ph.D. candidate.
