The Junior Faculty Training Program is a one-year research and career development initiative designed for Assistant Professors in the biomedical, clinical, behavioral, and social sciences. The program equips junior faculty with the skills and mentorship needed to build strong academic research careers while advancing health equity.
Program Details

Summer 1 (June 14 – June 26, 2026): Two-week intensive session with didactic courses in community-based participatory research, study design, research ethics, working with and presenting data, and grantsmanship.

Summer 2 (Summer 2027): NIH Mock Study Section to strengthen grant-writing and review skills.
Eligibility Requirements

Open to junior faculty at the Assistant Professor level.

U.S. citizens or permanent residents.

Visa holders are not eligible.
Program Highlights

Yearlong Mentorship: Ongoing guidance from experienced faculty mentors.

Research Development: Preparation of an NIH-style proposal and preliminary work.

Research Support: Up to $15,000 in funding.
