The mission of the Brooklyn Health Disparities Center is to develop, inform, and implement models to advance health equity in populations that have been historically marginalized in Brooklyn and beyond through research, community collaboration, health equity training, and advocacy.

The Clinical Research Scholars Training (CREST) Program offers two phases of advanced training for clinicians and researchers committed to health equity. Phase I provides a structured curriculum through our accredited program, equipping scholars with essential skills in research design, methods, and policy. Phase II builds on this foundation, offering mentored, hands-on research experiences that strengthen scholarly output and prepare participants for independent research careers.
An enriching summer research program that provides junior faculty with didactic courses in health disparities, diversity, community based participatory research, study design, working with and presenting data, research ethics, grantsmanship skills and academic career development.
