Sigma Theta Tau Induction

On April 15, 2019, the Psi Tau Chapter of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing held its second induction of new members. A total of 72 undergraduate students from both the Accelerated BS program and the RN-BS program were inducted. Another 44 students from the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) graduate programs were also inducted. Three Community Nurse Leaders, including two nurses from UHB, were inducted as members.

Sigma Theta Tau was founded in 1922 by six nursing students, who chose the name from the Greek words for “Love, Courage and Honor.” The Society’s mission is to advance world health and celebrate nursing excellence in scholarship, leadership, and service. The Psi Tau Chapter of Downstate's College of Nursing was chartered in 2017.

Congratulations to all of the new inductees.
