On October 22, 2025 Downstate hosted the "From Harm to Healing: Reframing Domestic Violence Through a Public Health Lens" panel. This panel explored how domestic and gender-based violence functioned as a public health issue, highlighting survivor-centered, trauma-informed strategies that integrated prevention, clinical care, and policy to advance safety, healing, and health equity across communities.
