WellNYS Daily To-Do and Calendar for October 2025
By Employee Assistance Program | Oct 7, 2025
October is nationally recognized as Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Domestic Violence Awareness Month and includes World Mental Health Day on October 10. It is a time to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and promote early detection, safety, and mental well-being. We honor survivors and remember those affected, reaffirming that help and healing are possible when we listen, reach out, and support one another. If you or someone you care about needs support or resources, please contact a mental health professional. EAP can help!
Office of Mental Health (OMH) Wellness Group: is a supportive space designed to promote the mental, emotional, and physical well-being of all employees. Whether you're looking to manage stress, build resilience, or simply take a moment for yourself, this group offers a welcoming environment to connect, share, and grow. Sessions may include mindfulness practices, wellness discussions, stress reduction strategies, and more. It is a great way to take care of yourself while connecting with others who value health and balance in the workplace. All employees are welcome to join, and no registration is necessary.
