Student Health Center

The Student Health Center serves the primary care needs of the Downstate student community. There are no office co-pays for routine visits, and all registered students are eligible for care, regardless of insurance coverage. It provides routine health clearance and emergency care. The Student Health Service is presently located at 440 Lenox Road, Apartment 1W.

The Student Health Center provides quality medical care to students including a broad range of services.

Please be advised that all services are completely confidential and include:

General medical care for acute and chronic medical conditions
Immunizations
Potential bloodborne pathogen exposure (needle stick) counseling and treatment
HIV Pre-exposure prophylaxis
Laboratory services
Allergy shots (after allergist evaluation)
Preventive screening
Referrals for specialty consultation
Consultation for weight management and smoking cessation
Travel medicine
