Maimonides Medical Center
Maimonides Medical Center is a non-profit, non-sectarian hospital located in Borough
Park, Brooklyn. Borough Park is home to a diverse immigrant community and patients
speak many different languages. Resident clinics are held two half-days per week at
the hospital (pediatric and adult dermatology). During these busy clinics, trainees
experience a wide variety of skin pathology and conditions, and work closely with
attending physicians to formulate treatment plans.
During pediatric dermatology clinic, the second-year resident works closely with the attending physician and pediatric dermatology research fellow. The trainee often cares for patients with vascular anomalies, pigmentary disorders, and genodermatoses, as well as more common conditions, including acne, seborrheic dermatitis, and atopic dermatitis. During adult dermatology clinic, the resident works with an attending physician to care for patients with a variety of disorders. The trainee will also see adult and pediatric inpatient consults.
