Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center
Woodhull Medical Center is a NYC Health + Hospitals (HHC) healthcare center located
in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn, New York. Woodhull serves the diverse
community of North Brooklyn, home to many different languages and cultures. Resident
clinics are held four days per week, and residents see both pediatric and adult dermatology
patients. First and second-year residents rotate at Woodhull Medical Center two rotations
per year.
At Woodhull, residents are exposed to a variety of dermatologic conditions, including uncommon and rare HIV-associated dermatoses, infectious diseases, genodermatoses, and vasculitides. Procedure clinic occurs once a week at Woodhull, and include excisions and cosmetic procedures. Inpatient consults are also seen weekly.
Cumberland
Cumberland Diagnostic and Treatment Center is a medical center providing comprehensive primary medical care services and comprehensive addiction treatment services to the community of North Brooklyn. Located in the heart of Downtown Brooklyn, Cumberland also serves a diverse community. Residents hold clinic at Cumberland every Thursday during their Woodhull rotation. Dermatologic surgery procedures (e.g. excisions) and cosmetic procedures (e.g. injectables) are also taught at Cumberland. Residents are exposed to more common dermatologic conditions at this clinic, but may occasionally treat patients with uncommon medical conditions.
