The Brooklyn Free Clinic
Our volunteers are students and physicians from the SUNY Downstate College of Medicine, School of Health Professions, College of Nursing, and School of Public Health. Under the guidance of volunteer physicians and faculty advisors, our students help provide care and health maintenance screening to enrolled patients. We also provide access to a network specialists who have volunteered to treat our patients for free. Students who volunteer at the clinic are highly motivated learners dedicated to community service. The support and generosity of the SUNY Downstate Medical Centergives us the means to provide the free, high-quality services to our patients.

Brooklyn Health Disparities Center
Our mission is to develop and implement models to reduce health disparities in minority and new immigrant populations in Brooklyn through basic, clinical, behavioral and community participatory research, community education and outreach, and health professional training.
Special Treatment and Research Health Center (STAR)
The mission of the STAR Health Center (SHC) is to provide and enhance quality healthcare locally and globally through the integration of treatment, prevention, research, and education. We offer specialized care for HIV disease, hepatitis C and substance abuse by health care professionals who are experienced in meeting the medical, social and mental health needs of our community. Our health care team is committed to creating and maintaining unique partnerships with our patients to ensure optimal health care outcomes.
Dr. Robert F. Furchgott Society
The Robert F. Furchgott Society supports graduate students, fellows and residents conducting basic science and clinical studies in a broad array of subjects. the Society has established an annual Visiting Professorship and brings the most prominent and accomplished researchers to our institute to share knowledge, expertise and perspective.
