Reporting Mistreatment and Beaches of Professionalism

The primary method for medical students, faculty, and residents to report individual or observed incidents of alleged mistreatment is by submitting a Concerns report, through the Kudos and Concerns Portal or directly to the COM Ombudsman.

The Ombudsperson is a resource for medical students in resolving conflicts, disputes or complaints. The Ombudsperson Office provides an objective third party to report complaints such as unprofessional behavior, abuse or harassment of a verbal, physical or sexual nature or other behaviors. The Ombudsperson is independent, neutral and works toward resolution of work-related conflicts, and advocates for fair treatment and process. The Ombudsperson listens with objectivity and provides a private resource about any concern related to the learning environment at the College of Medicine.

Students can confidentially report concerns about mistreatment and breaches of professionalism to the following sources.
