The Erich K. Lang M.D Lecture ships

The purpose of the fund is to provide financial support for SUNY Downstate COM medical students and Urology residents in academic endeavors as follows and as detailed further in the letter from Dr. Jeffrey P. Weiss, dated 11/23/2021 which is the basis of this Fundraising Application. Specific purposes include: 1) Presentation at local, national and international meetings by residents and students, 2) Creation of a Urology Research Scholar (URS) program funded annually with $20,000 for a medical student who wishes to do clinical and translational research (as explained further in Dr. Weiss' letter), and 3) Purchase educational materials deemed necessary to promote surgical educational including but not limited to practice instruments and surgical training devices.
